Celtics Jersey History No. 22

To commemorate the players who wore those figures, Celtics Wire deals with the entire history of sweater numbers and the players they have worn since the team was founded.

With 25 of those sweaters now withdrew to honor some of the greatest cells to wear those sweaters, there is a lot of history to cover.

And for today’s article we will continue with the second of four people who wear no. 22, Boston Big Man Alum Bob Kinney. After ending his university career at Rice, Kinney joined the (then) Fort Wayne (now Detroit) Pistons in 1948.

Halfway through his Rookie season his contract was treated to Boston, his last stop in the BAA. His stay with the team would include parts of two seasons and ended in 1950.

During his time to adapt to the Celtics, McKinney only wore Jersey no. 22 and set 10.8 points and 1.6 assists per match.

All statistics and data thanks to basketball reference.
