Lidl has warned customers to stop using an air frye who sold it “immediately” because of a “fire hazard” in connection with the product.
The retailer has issued an urgent recall for the Tower 8L Dual Basket Air Fryer, which is said to have a “risk of overheating”.
Customers have been asked to check whether their products have the Code T17129L and to return it. The batch number can be found on a white sticker on the base of the product.
“Our supplier remembers the above product because of the risk of overheating, which can lead to a fire hazard,” was the notification.
“If you have one of the affected models, stop using it immediately.”

It added that customers should contact the supplier on www.tower-afety.co.uk to check whether their unit has been influenced and to follow the instructions for returning.
People who have bought one of the devices can also contact customer.Care@lidl.co.uk or telephone 0203 966 5566 for more information.
No other tower products are influenced by the recall.
Earlier this month Lidl issued a product reminder for Harvest Basket Hash Browns with the batch number 5144L and the best before the date of 24 May 2027.
Lidl GB remembered the product due to the “potential presence of foreign bodies (metal)” that can pose a stifling danger.
