To check the suction, I spread a mix of soil, sand, pets hair and ground crackers over the rear seat and floor of my car (yes, it was a dirty job, and yes, someone had to do it). I weighed the mixture before dumping and then measured the amount of debris that each vacuum was picked up after a set amount of time.

The Thisworx Car Vac had the second best suction and inhaled almost all the dirt and debris. The crack mount came in the narrowest spaces and the flexible hose gave me extra range. I was not blown away by the effectiveness of the cap hairbrush of this small vaccine, and some reviewers say that you will not get any details (but given the price they don’t expect it). “I had to go over the same places (specifically on the floor) to notice a difference, but it worked great on the seats,” said a four stars fan. “The extension hose is a nice touch, but I had the feeling that it was not super sturdy and was kinked occasionally and would lose more suction. The body itself does not hold much, and once it is full, you know that it will literally only make part of the snake and then just fall back.”

Another shopper said it would have been nice if “the small brush was softer for cleaning the ventilation openings.” The same reviewer, however, pointed out that it “works great for detailing my truck.”

A final customer offered a rather specific scammer: “Bought this little vacuum for my little camper. It is for sale for Prime members, but even for the full price it is still more affordable than most other wireless car -vacs. During my tests I found that this gadget missed some power, but in general it performed well, with a duration of about 16 minutes when I switched between regular and turbo -modes (the corded version has only one mode).
